Kidd Video

I’m going to talk about one of the best cartoons I’ve ever seen. Well… maybe that’s not true, but I really remember to love them when I was a kid. I still keep an episode recorded from the TV in Catalan.

I’m talking about Kidd Video (1984-1985). The story is simple. A live-action band is transported to a cartoon world named The Flipside. So they became cartoons and with the help of a fairy named Glitter they try to help the people of this place from the evil Master Blaster and also try to go back to the real world where they belong.

The band was created specifically for the cartoons. They perform their own songs and they were also the voices of their cartoon. At the end of some episodes, I’m not sure if it was in all, they showed a music video performed by the live action band.

I was totally in love with Kidd, well with Bryan Scott... with both! Hehehe I love his clothes, how he sings and moves... everything! It’s very 80’s, of course! Where must be this guy now? ...

I really love all the songs that band played! They have a lot of song and clips. Thanks to internet I have them all now! Here are some videoclips: You Better Run and Video Romeo.





I really like the combination of real characters and cartoons. Also, in every episode, they show a real video clip from a real band. Maybe that’s why I love music videos, because I’ve seen them since I was little, I don’t know.

Have someone seen Kidd Video? I hope one day they release a DVD, because I’ll buy it happily!
